How do I annotate files on Workplace?

You can only annotate files when logged into Workplace from your computer.
To annotate a file on Workplace:
  1. Go to the post with the file you want to annotate.
  2. Click the file to see a preview.
  3. To add an annotation, click Place a new comment at the bottom of the file preview.
  4. Click any part of the file preview to place the annotation and add your comment, then press enter to post or click Cancel Annotation at the bottom of the file to remove the annotation.
Keep in mind that all annotations are included as part of the file's comments. If you don't want to see the annotations on the preview screen you can click next to Annotations in the bottom-right of the file preview. This will only turn off the annotations for you. Annotations are viewable on Workplace apps, but can't be added from them.
File types that support annotations:
  • .doc
  • .docx
  • .odt
  • .pdf
  • .ppt
  • .pptx
  • .txt
  • .csv
Note: Microsoft Edge browser doesn't currently support annotations.
